Burnt Edge Paper Flowers: Calla Lilies

The book pages I used to make these Calla Lilies are already old but I antiqued them further by slightly burning their edges.
Achieving a burnt edge look for the flowers is not difficult. If you plan on doing so, you should be able to do it easily.Light a candle and hold the flower a few inches from the flame, just close enough to singe the edges.
Hold the paper flower and slide it back and forth through the candle. This should allow you to lightly singe the edges without burning the whole paper. You may then slide the back and front of the flower but not too long. This will give a brownish color to entire flower.

You may find more paper flowers in our website at Accents and Petals
