DIY: How To Make Peonies/Carnations Using Paper Cupcake Liners

Reuse or recycle extra paper cupcake liners by making paper carnations and peonies.

Prepare 6-8 pieces of cupcake liners.
Poke four holes in the middle.Thread a wire through one hole and back down through the other hole.
Thread another wire and cross it over through the other wire already in place.
Twist the wires and secure it in place.

Start with the innermost layer of cupcake liner and pull the sides up to the center.
Repeat the same process until all the layers have been pulled up.
It will look like the photo above.
Crunch the base. This will add more crease to the layers.
Fluff it again. Starting with the outermost layer, pull it out nicely. Repeat the same step with the remaining layers.
You can use the flowers as is or proceed and color them. I used rose pink and blush blue spray paint and here's the result.
